Why does DripDrop's original formula contain sugar?

Sugar plays a critical role in the sodium-glucose cotransport system, a hydration shortcut that rapidly pulls sodium and water from your intestine into your bloodstream. DripDrop's original formula contains just enough sugar to make that happen, including:

- Sucrose and Fructose: both natural sugars with lower glycemic index than glucose.
- Dextrose: a corn-based sweetener.
- Small amounts of Sucralose: a non-caloric modified form of table sugar considered safe by the FDA, the European Food Safety Authority, Health Canada and the World Health Organization.
